This has been a freezing week which prompted me to go on a shopping excursion in Ipswich. We needed some “serious” coats to keep us warm. I used to be confused by the way local people deal with rainy days — no brolly, no raincoat, as if the rain never exists. Mind you, English rain is generally soft, but intense enough to dampen your clothes.

After I borrowed a brolly from Herbert, I think I get it. That night, with the brolly — on which there’re very big words “The daily Mirror”, I was sort of doing some free advertisement for the newspaper, alas! — ” in both of my hands, I ended up feeling like a giant wobbling mushroom on the street. Moreover, it was soooooo heavy that when the wind blew, the giant wobbling mushroom almost toppled over. Yes, with the gusts coming at you, it’s almost impossible (and looking dumb~) to hold the brolly properly. No wonder.

Then, I finally bought myself a feather & down coat during the excursion. There were quite some colours to choose from but I realised that while black is very basic and would go well with almost anything, the intense tone makes me look like a gorilla; yellow is bright enough, however, as much as I’d like to rid the wobbling mushroom from my memory, I wasn’t keen on being a walking banana either; green is alright, but I would need a red eye mask and stick to complete my Ninja Turtle style.

While examining myself in the dark grey coat in the mirror, two senior ladies looked at me as they were passing by. “Oh! How lovely!” One exclaimed. The other immediately responded, “Yes! She’s tall and slim! It looks perfect on her!”

There’s fur on the brim of the hoodie which makes me feel like a vulture. But heck care! Tall and slim and lovely!! Ha! =P

So now I know why not even rain coat — A rain coat may be water repellent, yet! It CANNOT keep you warm.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Couldn’t be any truer ^_^

Ps.Don’t forget that tomorrow (13 Nov.) is the World Kindness Day!!

Great view from the High Street Bus Stop

It hasn’t changed much for the past century. Amazing!

I Tried Being Kind for A Day"裡說的"the helper’s high"^_^

Looking out from the bus window

See the moon?
